No signs of reinfection, so I never did a second dose.

I did a 50% water change after 24 hours and then started doing weekly water changes again.  It was definitely worth it.  My oscar has probalby tripled in size since February and seem very happy and healthy.

Thanks again for all your help!  I hope no one else needs this thread.

i was in the same situation earlier this month// i believe it came from stress of moving and diet
I treated him with a parasite killer and also just did w/c once a day
it cleared up perfect within a week
hes back to his old self.

Thank You Frances for posting this thread and updating it with the progress you achieved!
In a LFS recently I noticed what I thought was "Feeder Fish Bones" sticking out of an Oscars anus...I thought WOW He's been eating a few of the tank's other residents! :goof:
NOW I Know What It Was!!! I've copied and pasted this thread into MS Word and saved it!!!!!!!! :fro:
