gt or gold saum

If it's not an Oscar or Discus (as they have their own forums), but a cichlid from Texas, Central or South America... This is the place to be! Terrors and Devils and Jacks oh my!

Andinoacara aequinoctialis... Goldsaum. Share this with you to get a grasp on the GT thing as it stands. Technically,Andinoacara stalsbergi is the true Green Terror in the hobby (because it was the one first collected, sold, and called that) not A. rivulatus as everyone seems to think...so that eliminates it being called GT. Think the new understanding is that A. rivulatus does not have orange margins.

I have an old (early 60's) reference book that the pic and desciption of A. rivulatus sure looks a lot like A. stalsbergi ???
No wonder everybody's confused.
Just think about it.

looking good. I have always like gold saums. It can be so confusing with the name. There like 3-4 fish they call green terrors including the gold saum. :( Oinky has it covered on the name :fro: In my area Gold Saums are popular and often referred as Green Terror.
Good judgment comes from experience and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.
