Hi , just updating Bruce and Sal's growth..Bruce has slowed down a bit but Sal has grown ..They get along really great ..Sal knows to let Bruce eat first then he has his .. ;) Bruce somtimes is a little  :silly: but I love him for that ..He has been getting really picky on his food lately we went from krill to now shrimp and  now I have notice he is getting tired of shrimp too ..I have to find other foods for him..Oh yeah he won't touch cichlid sticks or any store bought food he just spits it out  :poed:

Bruce and Sal look amazing! They have grown quite a bit. The tank still looks great too! I'm surprised Bruce doesn't do more redecorating for you. Great job with them both!

P.S. I like to change up what I give my Os. They get something different for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So far they haven't gotten bored with anything. Might be worth a try.

your O looks sweet, i baught my first O not too long ago and he looks very similar to yours at 2 inch. this thread inspired me to take pics of his growth cause he is already much bigger. i now feed mine krill so he can hopefully get nice reds like yours. he loves the stuff. he eats out of my hands already.

You should really make sure your Oscar get a mixed diet, to make them eat pellets you just offer them until they eat them (removing any they don't eat) they won't starve themselves

yeh i only feed him krill at night for dinner, but in the morning and when i get home from school i feed him cichlid gold which he goes nuts for when he sees the packet. he also loves blood worms but im out of them. and he loves the ocasional garden worm. iv fed him brine shrimp but hes not a very big fan of them. and some times i feed him moths. so he gets a pretty mixed diet.

does feeding krill actually change their colours

i know they are able to change there appearance by which mood they are in, or lighting conditions./
mine goes a dark black at night, and has a more of a gray with brighter orange in the morning

Krill should certainly brighten up colors in your fish in a natural way - especially reds & orange
