will post up some pics soon everyone, got so caught up in the tank i forgot!

Abit of an update: Since setting up the tank, my BN's have laid 3 times, including last night. Both my males have offspring in the same log and they have fought quite viciously to defend 'their tube. The larger one is currently the owner but im worried about the fry of the other male, the one who got kicked out.

Will the new owner of the log take care of the 2 batches of fry aswell as the new batch of eggs? (which by the way looks much more healthy and is much larger than the first two)
Will the fins on my BN's grow back? the y are quite badly torn.

Thanks in advance everyone, pics and vids to come!

Don't know if the one male will adopt the others fry I would guess no. Fins should grow back as long as there's no damage to the rays.

good and bad news folks, bad news first; one of my rams has died of its wounds from another ram, and more than half of the fry is gone. I suspect it may have been the water change.

good news; i now have more fish, another batch of eggs and many more plants!

My current stocking is

9 adult BN's (3 males 6 females)
1 batch of BN eggs
up to 10 tiny BN fry scattered throughout the tank
2 male swordies
1 female ram
3 keyholes
1 phantom glass cat
3 albino corys
3 spotted corys
10 neon tetras
2 neon rainbows
1 flying fox

Nice looking tank, very neat/clean. Where did you find those cement looking pipes, so cool looking?

two of the pipes are bamboo and 1 is a ceramic one. The BN's have chosen the ceramic one :fro:

OK, to handle the fry i've got, i went out and bought a $40 20litre tank with filter and water treater and gravel included. Then i bought a heater and airstone and accessories. What a bargain! its perfect for fry. As soon as it's cycled, (i've put a bag of gravel from my established tanks to seed the BB colony) The fry are going in, they are already starting to come near the opening of the log and it's only been a week! :fro: pics to come :fro:
