That's awesome! How active are they in the tank?

Super active... he cruises around constantly. Why I have to be super careful when my hands are in the tank. I always make sure someone it home when I do so they keep an eye on him.

Unique looking little fella.
Reminds me of one of the Pokemon.
Just think about it.

Very nice! ^-^ I've been considering one for my tank, not sure it's big enough though.

Thats so cool. I have one too but does not look nothing like the one you got. Mine is brown with less but thicker spines. i wanted one like yours but could not find any in my area.

JohnL wrote:That's pretty cool. How dangerous are they?

The poison in the spines can be very painfull and cause you to get sick.
Good judgment comes from experience and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Thanks all... he is a trip to have.

If you can get a small one and when he grows to big return him to the LFS. That is our plan for this one.

It's his anus.

Interesting critter.....I'd be extra careful as well around that thing. Don't believe I knew they could travel that fast.
Any day is a good day for watching the fish swim........
